Digital Window Displays

Client guidance

What is the Digital Window Display service?

This service enables property slideshows to be displayed on a screen in an agency office or window, showcasing their properties. It also allows property slides to be interspersed with individual marketing messages and videos.

Property marketing information, including essential information, also known as material information (part A), is displayed on your digital window display system. This includes:

  • Council tax band
  • Asking price (rental price, sale price, etc)
  • Tenure
  • Deposit information
  • Marketing images
  • Basic address information

Please ensure this information is populated on the individual property record in your SME Professional software system before publishing the property listing to your display.

The speed of the slider is set to 8 seconds.

Our Digital Window Display service is hosted on website pages, and can be viewed browsers such as Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge and Amazon Silk. The SME Professional Team will provide you with links to your displays, with options such as:

  • Type of property listings, including lettings, sales, and lettings and sales
  • Orientation, including landscape and portrait

We recommend using an Amazon Firestick to access the Digital Window Display website page. Please see steps on how to access and set up this page on a Firestick below.

  1. Navigate to your Amazon Firestick on your television
  2. Open the Amazon Silk browser
  3. Enter the website address for your display shared by the Onboarding Team

We advise setting you screen resolution to 1920p x 1080p. This is the standard display on most screens.

Please be advised that if you plan to use built-in browser on your television rather than Amazon Firestick, there may be display formatting issues. To troubleshoot these issues, you may need to speak to your IT team or television’s manufacturer.

To add properties to your Digital Window Display, follow the steps below.

  1. Log in to your SME Professional system
  2. Go to the property record
    1. For letting properties, go to Lettings properties > View properties and click on the relevant property address
    2. For sales properties, go to Sales properties > View available properties and click on the relevant property address
  3. In the Descriptions tab, check the TV display or slider box, as shown below:
  4. Click Update property and publish your marketing feeds.

The Digital Window Display will pick up changes to the properties selected every 30 minutes.

There are links provided, one for each of the following:

  • Landscape
  • Portrait
  • Portrait, but for TVs that are in landscape mode and have just been hung that way

Visit the “landscape/portrait/portrait-fixed” URL on your device, either using the inbuilt “browser” functionality of your smart TV or using the Amazon Silk/Amazon “Internet” App on your firestick.

You will need to type in the URL using your remote control, selecting the appropriate url for your preferred orientation.

Note: you may wish to use a url shortener such as https://tinyurl.com/
